The Pastoral Council
The St. Callistus Pastoral Council, though advisory in nature to the pastor, exists for the purpose of
developing, under the guidance of and in cooperation with the pastor, a vision for the parish. The Council
provides guidance in the implementation of policies and goals of the parish in spiritual and temporal
matters, and avoids the realm of routine of administration, so that the parish continues to grow into a
Christian Community living the Gospel values.
The Council consists of ten members: six through the process of discernment, two appointed by the pastor,
and two ex-officio members from the pastoral staff.

PASTORAL COUNCIL MATTERS
I am very happy to inform you that the following have been chosen as the new office bearers of our Pastoral
Council:
Diana Silva - Facilitator, Lizzy Lynn - Assistant Facilitator, and Tony Servey - Secretary.
The Council meets, as a rule, on the fourth Thursday of every month, except July and August when it does
not meet. If any of you wish to bring some important matter to the attention of the Council, please make sure
that you bring it to Diana or to me at least 10 days before the meeting of the Council. If appropriate, it will be
brought before the Council. Last minute requests cannot be accommodated.
